What Are Mini Skips?

Mini skips are a popular choice for customers who need to dispose of a small amount of waste, such as from a DIY project or household clearance. Mini skips are smaller in size than other skip types, making them the perfect solution for customers who have limited space for skip placement.

At Skip Hire Berkshire, we offer two sizes of mini skips:

• 2 Cubic Yard Mini Skip: This skip can hold approximately 25-35 black bin bags of waste. It measures 5' (1.52m) long, 4' (1.22m) wide, and 2'6" (0.76m) high.
• 3 Cubic Yard Mini Skip: This skip can hold approximately 35-45 black bin bags of waste. It measures 5'6" (1.68m) long, 4' (1.22m) wide, and 2'9" (0.84m) high.

What Can You Put in Mini Skips?

Mini skips are suitable for a wide range of waste types, including:

• Garden waste (e.g., branches, leaves, grass clippings)
• Household waste (e.g., furniture, appliances, toys)
• DIY waste (e.g., wood, plasterboard, tiles)
• General waste (e.g., cardboard, paper, plastic)

However, there are some items that cannot be placed in skips, even mini skips. These include:

• Asbestos
• Electrical appliances (e.g., TVs, computers)
• Batteries
• Chemicals
• Medical waste

How Does Mini Skip Hire Work?

Mini skip hire with Skip Hire Berkshire is designed to be as simple and hassle-free as possible. Here's how it works:

1. Choose your skip size: Decide on the size of mini skip you need for your project, based on the amount of waste you have to dispose of.

2. Book your skip: Contact us by phone or online to book your mini skip and arrange a delivery and collection time that suits you.

3. Fill your skip: Fill your skip with your waste, making sure that you don't exceed the maximum fill level (marked on the skip).

4. Collection: Once your skip is full, we'll arrange for it to be collected at a time that suits you. We'll then take care of the safe and responsible disposal of your waste, including recycling where possible.
